Services are available for individuals
with developmental or physical disabilities and are tailored to
meet each individual's unique needs.
In addition to having a referral from the Division
of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) or the Division of Vocational
Rehabilitation (DVR) applicants for services must meet the following
criteria.

Desire to improve work skills,
work behaviors and be an active participant in the services
provided by SKCAC Industries. |
|
|
A joint decision by the applicant,
referring agent, applicant's guardian/advocate (if applicable)
and SKCAC program staff that the services of SKCAC Industries
will meet the current needs of the individual and there is a
reasonable expectation that SKCAC Industries services will enhance
the individual's work skills and work behaviors leading to employment
in a community based setting. |

Minimum age 18 (DVR) or 21
(DDD). Exceptions made with approval from funding agency. |
|
|
Funding source providing fees
for services rendered by SKCAC Industries. |
|
|
Work behaviors appropriate
for a work setting/environment. No known safety concerns to
self or others. |
|
|
Capable of maintaining personal
cleanliness, eating and caring for toileting needs with assistance. |
|
|
Able to take prescribed medication
at time specified with minimal assistance (reminders). |
|
|
Transportation to and from
SKCAC Industries or the specified work site. Transportation
and transportation training are not provided by SKCAC Industries. |
|
|
Able to communicate with others
by speech, writing or other means. |
|
|
Willingness to accept SKCAC
Industries as a transitional rehabilitation facility with the
expressed purpose of training, leading to employment in the
community. |

Submit to a thirty (30) day
SKCAC Industries evaluation to determine applicant/services/program
suitability. |
